The Blind          

based on M. Maeterlinck "The Blind"

for classical orchestra op. 30, 2019

 

Twelve blind people - some of them old men - sit in the dead of night in a dark forest that is completely foreign to them. They wait in tense silence for the return of their sighted companion, who should lead them back home. Until they suddenly find that their supervisor is dead among them...[i]

About the performance:

The stage and the auditorium are completely dark. A curtain divides the stage in half. The musicians play behind the curtain, the front part remains empty and dark.
